Q1: Why merge with another Credit Union?
A1: A merger with FAA Eastern Region FCU (FAAERFCU) will allow Tri-Linc FCU (TLFCU) members greater access to more products and services. FAAERFCU’s expanded product menu includes a host of deposit, loan and convenience services at very competitive rates and terms.
Q2: Who is FAAERFCU?
A2: FAAERFCU was organized in 1948 to serve a small group of Civil Aeronautics Administration (currently the Federal Aviation Administration) employees. Today, however, FAA ER FCU serves a wide array of employee groups throughout the northeastern United States. FAAERFCU is currently a $175 Million Credit Union serving over 20,000 members. There are seven branches in four states, including New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

Q3: When will the merger occur?
A3: The merger occurred on October 1, 2007. At that time, your Credit Union became Tri-Linc CU, a division of FAAERFCU.
Q4: Will the name of the Credit Union change?
A4: Yes. On January 2, 2008 TLFCU will be one with FAAERFCU.
Q5: How will this affect my accounts?
A5: On January 2, 2008, your TLFCU accounts will be merged into the FAAERFCU system. Unless otherwise notified, your existing loan and certificate of deposit rates and terms will stay the same. Once the account transition is complete, on January 2, 2008, we encourage you to consider the wide variety of new deposit and loan programs that will be available to you. Prior to the official data conversion in January, FAAERFCU will remain in regular contact with you to ensure a smooth transition of your accounts.
Q6: Will TLFCU branches remain open?
A6: At this time, both the Secaucus and Bound Brook branches will be available to our members.
Q7: Will I have access to FAAERFCU’s branches?
A7: On January 2, 2008, you will have access to FAAERFCU’s branch at 67 Walnut Avenue, in Clark, NJ 07066. In addition, on January 2, 2008, you will have access to over 2,600 Shared Service Centers.
Q8: What will happen to the TLFCU staff?
A8: TLFCU employees will continue to serve the membership. On October 1, 2007 they joined the FAAERFCU staff.
Q9: Will my account numbers change?
A9: Most account numbers will not need to change. Members will be notified, individually, of any change to their account number, prior to the conversion of data.
Q10: What will happen to my unused checks and/or ATM/Debit Card?
A10: New checks and a new ATM or VISA® Debit Card will be reissued to you free of charge.
Q11: Will I still be able to use my credit card?
A11: Yes. Credit card accounts in good standing can still be used without interruption until the data conversion on January 2, 2008. You will be notified in advance of any changes to your credit card to ensure a smooth transition of your account.
Q12: What new services will be available to me through FAAERFCU?
A12: Many products and services will be available to you starting on January 2, 2008! FAAERFCU has an extensive menu of deposit and loan products. In addition to savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates, free checking and a vast array of consumer loans, TLFCU members will enjoy all-new services including:
